Steam sales are aggressive: during Summer Sale, Winter Sale, and Lunar New Year, AAA titles often drop 50 to 75 percent, so a single $100 credit can stretch across 4 or 5 major games.
Wallet credit is also valid for Steam in-game item purchases (CS2 skins, Dota 2 cosmetics, TF2 keys), Steam Workshop content, and any DLC.
